EKOenergy is a global nonprofit ecolabel for energy, helping consumers make extra impact with their choice of renewable energy. The ecolabel exists for electricity, renewable gas, heat and cold. In addition to being renewable, EKOenergy-labelled energy fulfils additional sustainability criteria and finances projects that combat energy poverty.

Users of EKOenergy-labelled energy can use the logo in their publications, on their buildings, and on products made with EKOenergy. This way, consumers can demonstrate their commitment to renewable energy and encourage others to do the same. This helps speed up the transition to a 100% renewable world.

Our label can be combined with all types of sourcing of renewable energy: on-site installations, green power contracts, PPAs, unbundled EACs and more. EKOenergy-labelled energy is currently available in 40+ countries, and counting.  The ecolabel is an initiative of environmental NGOs and hosted by the Finnish Association for Nature Conservation.

The RE-Source Platform is Europe’s leading forum for corporate renewable energy sourcing. Through its wide-ranging and innovative Buyers Toolkit and popular annual event for energy buyers and sellers, RE-Source seeks to remove barriers for corporates to renewable energy procurement in support of Europe’s climate and energy goals.

The massive potential represented by corporate renewable energy sourcing can only be realised via increased awareness and the removal of policy and market barriers that currently constrain the growth of renewables in many markets in Europe. We believe that corporate electricity buyers, renewable energy suppliers and policy-makers have a unique opportunity to help Europe achieve its climate and energy objectives by enabling new, competitively-priced renewable energy resources at a scale not otherwise achievable.
